Belarus is always active in CIS integration, Lebedev says

MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Belarus is an active participant in integration processes in the CIS, Sergei Lebedev, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary, said as he met with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 16 July, BelTA learnt.

“Belarus is and has always been remarkably active in integration within the CIS,” Sergei Lebedev said.

He informed the head of state about the current tasks and objectives of the CIS Executive Committee. In particular, the preparation is underway for the session of the CIS Economic Council and the session of the CIS heads of government that will be held in Yalta on 22 September. The meeting of the CIS heads of state will be held in Ashgabat on 2 November. Sergei Lebedev spoke on the agenda of the forthcoming events.
