Belarus, Azerbaijan to develop energy cooperation

MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Azerbaijan intend to develop cooperation in energy, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev held an extended meeting on 28 August.

“We were able to prove high efficiency of our cooperation in the energy sector,” the Belarusian head of state said. “Belarus is grateful to Azerbaijan for support in ensuring energy security,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

According to the President, Belarusian companies are ready to joint work and services in oil development. Belarus is also able to supply Azerbaijan with high quality geophysical and drilling equipment.
