Belarus to invite OSCE observers to monitor parliamentary election

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Belarus will invite representatives of the OSCE and other international organizations to monitor the parliamentary election, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina told reporters on 19 June, BelTA has learnt.

“International observers will attend the election in line with our international commitments we strictly observe,” the CEC Chairperson said.

Lidia Yermoshina also noted, “The period and format of the observation by international missions will be determined by the Foreign Ministry. The Foreign Ministry will send invitations to international missions”.

Belarusian MPs, in turn, will invite friendly parliaments, mainly delegations from the CIS member states, she added.
