Taking part in the session are representatives of central government agencies of Belarus and federal executive authorities of the Russian Federation. The Belarusian delegation is led by Deputy Interior Minister Nikolai Melchenko, the Russian delegation is chaired by Deputy Director of the Federation Migration Service Anatoly Kuznetsov.
“The parties are to share information about amendments to the migration legislation and to discuss some bilateral international draft agreements,” the press service informed. This includes preparation of agreements envisaging mutual recognition of decisions to refuse the Customs Union entry to citizens of third states, as well as exchange of information about persons subject to travel restrictions.
The migration chiefs will also discuss ways to secure equal rights to movement, to the choice of place of stay and residence of Belarusian and Russian nationals on the territory of the Union State. The implementation of the earlier agreements will also be in the focus.
A separate block of issues deals with joint effort to fight illegal migration, including details of the Nelegal operation.
The two-day session will conclude by signing a final protocol.
