“Just like in previous years Belarus is third after the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan in terms of average monthly salaries calculated in US dollars,” said the official.
Asked about how the official statistics correlates with the real state of salaries in Belarus, Irina Kozlitinova said that the head of every specific organization is responsible for submitting correct statistics to government statistics agencies.
Speaking about how the modern labor remuneration system and laws can reduce salaries paid off the books, the official said: “The more understandable, more transparent and objective a labor remuneration system is, the less probable salaries paid off the books are”.
