The Foreign Ministry found out the details of the helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
As there is no Belarusian Embassy in Afghanistan, the consular department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry addressed their Russian counterparts. According to the consular service of the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan, a Mi-8 helicopter crashed while taking off on the runway of the Afghan town of Ghazni on 4 July. The Belarusian national was the helicopter crew commander. “According to the information we possess, the Belarusian national was taken to a Kabul hospital where he stayed for five days. After that he was conveyed to the burn center of Krasnodar,” Maria Vanshina said.
According to doctors, the condition of the patient is close to satisfactory. He is expected to stay in the burn center for about two weeks. His spouse came to Krasnodar to be next to him.
