According to the Embassy of Belarus in Romania, a bus with Belarusian tourists on board on their way to Bulgarian resorts got into a traffic accident near the Romanian city of Bacau due to the driver’s fault. As many as 46 people were inside, including 26 kids, 20 adults, and two Bulgarian drivers.
According to the Romanian police and the Romania Red Cross Society, several children from Belarus were slightly injured.
The children were released after their injuries were treated. One of the kids underwent another examination. According to the latest information provided by representatives of the Romania Red Cross Society and the tourist guides, doctors of the Bacau city hospital analyzed the results of the repeated examination and concluded that he may continue the trip to Bulgaria together with the other tourists.
All Belarusian tourists were temporarily accommodated in a hostel of the city’s college before another bus picked them up to transport them to Bulgaria.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry stressed that the embassy had constantly stayed in touch with the Romanian police, Red Cross Society of Romania and representatives of the Bacau hospital.
