Dollar Strengthened by Br50

As a result of trading on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange on June 19, the Belarusian ruble strengthened against the euro and Russian ruble. The dollar rate rose by Br50 up to Br8.290. Thus, it is returned to the last week-end’s level. Euro fell by Br10 to Br10.450, while the Russian ruble - by Br1.5 to Br255.

Monday, June 18, the dollar fell by Br50 and euro - Br10, while and the Russian ruble rose by Br0.5.

As Telegraf previously reported, according to the National Bank, the Belarusian ruble strengthened against a basket of foreign currencies by 1.7% in May.

Vice Chairman of the National Bank of Belarus Taras Nadolny stated in early June that based on the current situation in the domestic fx market, the dollar rate wouldn’t make up Br9.150 by the end of the year.
