Form of Belneftekhim-based holding company still under discussion

MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – The work continues to determine the optimal form of the holding company that will be created on the basis of the enterprises of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim, Yulia Medvedeva, Head of the Management Organization Improvement Office of the Belarusian Economy Ministry, told media on 17 August.

“The work in this area is constantly in motion. It may be a single holding company or three holding companies. It may be a holding company to later evolve into a system that comprises subholding companies,” said Yulia Medvedeva.

Speaking about the pace of the holding company creation, the official underlined: “It should be understood that hurrying up is not acceptable in this industry and it is understandable that it is a lengthy process. But there are good reasons for the process to be the way it is now”.
