Forty-three Belarusian citizens were injured when their bus collided with a truck head-on in southern Ukraine late on July 21, the Belarusian foreign ministry’s press office said.
The Setra bus, which was carrying a total of 46 Belarusian holidaymakers from Crimean seaside resorts, fell on its side and was hit by a car after the collision in the Kherson province.
The foreign ministry said that 29 Belarusians had been hospitalized but there were no fatalities.
Ukraine’s emergency management ministry earlier said that four of the Belarusians were in serious condition following the accident.
Officers of the Belarusian consulate in Odessa and the Belarusian embassy in Kyiv traveled to the Kherson province to investigate the circumstances of the accident and provide assistance to the victims. They were in close contact with the hospitals providing treatment to the injured holidaymakers and law enforcement agencies on Sunday, according to the press office. // BelaPAN
