MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – The plans to sell the national air carrier Belavia to the Russian air carrier Aeroflot as published by some websites are not true, the press service of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry told BelTA.

Starting 3 June Belavia will be offering flights to Novosibirsk. It will be the remotest destination serviced by Belavia. In summer the company will resume seasonal flight to Karaganda, Kostanai, Manchester, Pavlodar, Simferopol, and Sochi.

In order to improve the effectiveness of air transportation Belavia has signed contracts for leased purchase of two new aircraft Embraer 175. The aircraft will be delivered in September-October 2012.
