MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – Several opposition parties believe the elections to be some kind of a political game. They put together various technologies to pretend to take part in the elections. In the end these efforts can be qualified as deception of voters, BelTA learned from Secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Nikolai Lozovik, who commented on the intention of several opposition politicians to withdraw from elections and recall members of election commissions.

“Let them be, they have the legal right to withdraw. It will be no tragedy for the election campaign. If we never see you again, it’ll be too soon. But from the voter’s point of view they play an incorrect shell game,” believes Nikolai Lozovik.

The CEC Secretary remarked that voters are swung by slogans of some politicians, because the former think the latter are really committed to working for the benefit of the people. “As it is, these politicos just want to assert themselves as loud as possible. The actions they stage are not meant to secure honest and fair elections. They are meant to get their supervisors and sponsors to notice and appreciate them,” stressed Nikolai Lozovik.
