Latvijas biatlonists Andrejs Rastorgujevs Pasaules kausa izcīņas priekšpēdējā, astotā, posma 12,5 kilometru iedzīšanas sacensībās svētdien izcīnīja 41.vietu.

Viņam tikai nepilnas astoņas sekundes pietrūka līdz Pasaules kausa kopvērtējuma punktu iegūšanai.

Jau vēstīts, ka sestdien notikušajās sprinta sacīkstēs Edgars Piksons ieņēma 54.vietu, bet Rastorgujevs finišēja 60.pozīcijā, kas kā pēdējam ļāva kvalificēties iedzīšanai.

Iedzīšanā seši sportisti neizgāja uz starta, kas latviešiem nedaudz atviegloja mērķi. Rastorgujevs četrās šaušanās pieļāva trīs kļūdas, tomēr līdz punktiem viņam nedaudz pietrūka.

Savukārt Piksons kļūdījās septiņas reizes, finišējot pēdējā, 52.pozīcijā.

Uzvaru sacensībās izcīnīja leģendārais norvēģis Ūle Einārs Bjērndālens, kuram Rastorgujevs zaudēja piecas minūtes, bet Piksons atpalika par astoņām minūtēm un 18,8 sekundēm.

Bjērndālens sacensībās uzsāka no ceturtās vietas, tomēr šaušanās viņš kļūdījās tikai divas reizes, kas sprintā uzvarējušo un šoreiz trīs kļūdas pieļāvušo francūzi Martēnu Furkadu ļāva apsteigt par 13,8 sekundēm.

Savukārt 22,7 sekundes uzvarētājam zaudēja trešajā vietā palikušais Dmitrijs Mališko no Krievijas, kurš sprintā finišēja tikai septītais, bet iedzīšanā pieļāva divas kļūdas.

Kā ziņots, vēl viens Latvijas sportists Artūrs Koļesņikovs sprintā ierindojās priekšpēdējā, 84.pozīcijā, nekvalificējoties iedzīšanas sacīkstēm.

Pasaules kausa kopvērtējumā vīriešiem pirmo vietu ar 774 punktiem saglabāja Martēns Furkads, otrais ar 753 punktiem ir Ēmils Hegle Svensens no Norvēģijas, kurš iedzīšanā izcīnīja ceturto vietu, bet trešajā pozīcijā ar 607 punktiem atrodas vācietis Andrēass Birnbahers, kurš šoreiz nestartēja.

Tikmēr Rastorgujevs ar 22 punktiem pašlaik ieņem 75.vietu.

Savukārt desmit kilometru iedzīšanas distance sievietēm uzvarēja pagājušās sezonas Pasaules kausa ieguvēja Kaisa Mekereinene no Somijas, kura šaušanās pieļāva vienu kļūdu un finišā par 35,9 sekundēm apsteidza Magdalēnu Noineri. Slavenā vāciete, kura uzvarēja sprintā, šoreiz šaušanās pieļāva četras kļūdas.

Savukārt vēl par 1,1 sekundi lēnāk finišēja Darja Domračova no Baltkrievijas, kura sprintā bija trešā, bet iedzīšanā arī kļūdījās trīs reizes.

Vienīgā Latvijas pārstāve šajā posā Anete Brice sestdien sprinta sacensībās ieņēma priekšpēdējo, 79.pozīciju, nekvalificējoties iedzīšanai.

Pasaules kausa kopējā ieskaitē sieviešu konkurencē līderpozīciju ar 930 punktiem saglabāja Noinere, bet no viņas par 39 punktiem atpaliek Domračova. Savukārt trešo pozīciju ar 793 punktiem ieņem Mekereinene.
