Talantīgā tenisiste Ostapenko nopelnījusi pirmo WTA vienspēļu ranga punktu - DELFI.lv

Latvijas jaunais tenisa talants Aļona Ostapenko trešdien izcīnīja uzvaru Tallinas ITF 10 000 turnīra pamatsacensību pirmās kārtas mačā, nopelnot savas karjeras pirmo punktu WTA vienspēļu rangā.

Aizvadītajā cīņā 14 gadus vecā Ostapenko, kura pašlaik ir viena no labākajām Eiropas jaunajām tenisistēm, ar rezultātu 6-2, 6-4 pieveica krievieti Maju Gaverovu, kura WTA rangā pašlaik atrodas 629.pozīcijā.

Par pirmās kārtas pārvarēšanu Ostapenko tikusi pie viena WTA vienspēļu ranga punkta.

Lai iekļūtu WTA vienspēļu rangā, tenisistēm ranga punkti jānopelna vismaz trijos turnīros vai arī jātiek pie vismaz desmit punktiem vienā turnīrā.

Otrajā kārtā Ostapenko spēkosies ar Nīderlandes tenisisti Indiju de Vromi, kura WTA vienspēļu rangā pagaidām nav iekļuvusi, bet dalībai turnīrā saņēmusi organizatoru speciālo ielūgumu jeb "wild card".

Tikmēr zaudējumu pamatsacensību pirmās kārtas mačā trešdien piedzīvoja šobrīd WTA vienspēļu rangā neesošā Madara Straume, kas cīņā pret austrieti Žanīni Prentneri, kura rangā ieņem 733.vietu, izstājās pie sev nelabvēlīgā rezultāta 5-7, 6-1, 3-4.

Līdz ar to Straume sacensības noslēdza bez izcīnītajiem WTA vienspēļu ranga punktiem.

Kā ziņots, Ostapenko un Straume Tallinas turnīru sāka no kvalifikācijas, tiekot pie divām uzvarām.

Ostapenko sākotnēji ar 6-3, 6-1 pieveica WTA rangā neesošo dānieti Mariju Jespersenu, bet izšķirošajā, otrajā, kārtā ar 6-4, 6-4 pārspēja kvalifikācijā ar ceturto numuru izlikto slovākieti Šantalu Skamlovu, kura WTA rangā atrodas 1171.pozīcijā.

Savukārt Straume vispirms ar 6-1, 6-1 sagrāva krievieti Gaļinu Bikovu, bet kvalifikācijas otrajā cīņā ar 6-2, 6-2 tikai nedaudz mazāk pārliecinoši pārspēja mājinieci Kadi Ilvesu. Arī neviena no Straumes pretiniecēm šobrīd WTA rangā neatrodas.

Tallinas turnīra kvalifikācijā piedalījās sešas Latvijas tenisistes, bet pamatturnīram spēja kvalificēties vienīgi Ostapenko un Straume.

Kvalifikācijas otrajā kārtā zaudējumu piedzīvoja Latvijas tenisiste Adrija Runča, bet jau pirmajās cīņās neveiksmes cieta Anastasija Trubiča, Adriana Bļinova un Katrīna Andržejevska.

Dubultspēļu sacensībās no Latvijas tenisistēm piedalīsies vienīgi Straume, kura pārī ar krievieti Anastasiju Rudakovu pirmajā mačā tiksies ar čehieti Sandru Honigovu un Aliaksandru Sasnoviču no Baltkrievijas.

Jau vēstīts, ka gada sākumā Ostapenko debitēja Austrālijas atklātā čempionāta junioru sacensībās, kurās arī bija viena no jaunākajām tenisistēm. Toreiz vienspēlēs viņa aizkļuva līdz otrajai kārtai, bet dubultspēlēs zaudēja ceturtdaļfinālā.
