The owner of the “London” café in central Mińsk has been visited by two undercovered KGB agents on Monday afternoon. He was “kindly requested” to remove the sign with the name of the place posted on the terrace fence. Bartender quickly fulfilled “request” covering the sign with blue paint. His café is situated just across the street – exactly in front of KGB headquarters – where his unexpected visitors came from.It was Belarusian journalist Yanina Melnikava who informed on her facebook profile about uncommon event.

There’s no such thing as London

The zelous reaction of Belarusian secret servicemen is probably connected to the fact, that Belarusian president was denied the British visa. That deprived him of the chance to watch the Olympic games in London. Alexander Lukashenka who is passing the London café every day on his way from home would be very unpleased seeing the sign with the name of the city that didn’t let him in. Lukshenka is on the the top of the EU black list of Belarusian citizens banned from entering the EU for violating the human rights.
