MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarus' number one Victoria Azarenka, ranked 15th in the world, claimed her second win at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells as she beat China Zheng Saisai (World No. 69) 6-4, 6-3 in the third round, BelTA has learned.
Victoria Azarenka, seeded 13th, opened the tournament with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kazakhstan's Zarina Diyas (World No.87) in the second round.
Victoria Azarenka will next play World No.28 Samantha Stosur of Australia that beat World No.62 Christina McHale 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
The Belarusian is 8-1 lifetime against the Australian player.
The tournament in Indian Wells will complete on 20 March.
