Belarus-Bolivia agricultural machinery venture suggested

– Belarus suggests setting up a joint venture to make agricultural machines in Bolivia. The proposal was voiced by Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik at the meeting with a Bolivian delegation on 21 November, BelTA has learned.

Among possible cooperation avenues Sergei Chizhik mentioned the extraction and processing of subsurface resources (brown coal, shale) and agriculture. The sides could set up a joint venture to make agricultural machines. He also mentioned prospects of cooperation in space industry products. The creation of unmanned aerial vehicles for Bolivia was suggested.

Members of the Bolivian delegation will be able to familiarize themselves with products of Belarusian scientists in detail thanks to information booklets. Apart from that, Head of the Bolivia President Administration Juan Ramon Quintana Taborga, who leads the delegation, also visited the permanent exhibition that displays the research products the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus offers for the production sector.
