Belarus, Denmark exchange wins on Davis Cup day one

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Denmark exchanged victories during the first day of the Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group II in Minsk on 16 September, BelTA informs.

Belarus' Yaroslav Shilo lost his tight-battle tie against Frederik Nielsen 5-7, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 5-7.

In rubber 2, Ilya Ivashko of Belarus had no troubles in seeing off Andreas Bjerrehus 6-2, 6-0, 6-0.

The winner of the third round of Europe/Africa Zone Group II will play in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I next season.
