Belarus' election officials to observe parliamentary campaign in Kazakhstan

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) - Representatives of the Belarusian Central Election Commission (CEC) will observe an early election to the lower house of Kazakhstan's Parliament, BelTA learned from CEC secretary Nikolai Lozovik.

“Our delegation will include Ivan Shchurok and Alexander Dudko. The CEC members are simultaneously representatives of the Belarusian Central Election Commission and members of the CIS monitoring mission,” Nikolai Lozovik said.

Nikolai Lozovik also added that the plans for the future includes the monitoring of the election to the State Duma in Russia, which will take place almost simultaneously with the election to the House of Representatives in Belarus scheduled for September 2016.

The CIS mission has already begun its work in Kazakhstan. All in all, the CIS mission is expected to involve about 300 representatives from the CIS countries.

The early election in Kazakhstan will be held on 20 March.
