MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Estonia are mulling over direct flights between the two countries, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Belarus Mait Martison told media during his visit to Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) on 25 February, BelTA has learned.
“There are great prospects for the Belarusian-Estonian relations. I hope that we will be able to strengthen cooperation in various projects. We are working on launching direct flights which we do not have between Minsk and Tallinn today,” said Mait Martison.
According to the Ambassador, two weeks ago Belarus was visited by representatives of the Estonian Railways. These specialists of the two countries have not had close contacts before.
Mait Martison noted that his country is interested in cooperation with Minsk Tractor Works. For instance, last year MTZ sold 700 tractors to Estonia. “The share of MTZ products in our country is small, but we should work. The main thing is that the process is developing. I hope that our people will come here soon to see the equipment. The prospects are good,” he said.
