MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian stand at the All-Union Exhibition of National Economic Achievements (VDNKh) in Moscow will organize the Days of Belarusian Regions in 2016, Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich told media on 25 February, BelTA has learned.
The Trade Ministry hosted to a meeting between Vladimir Koltovich and Director General of OAO VDNKh Yekaterina Pronicheva. “We have signed an action plan for 2016. The plan includes the Days of Belarusian Regions, fairs and information and cultural exhibitions,” noted Vladimir Koltovich. In her words, a concept for the development of the pavilion has been developed. “We, VDNKh and the Trade Ministry, approved of it. The concept will now be considered by the Moscow government,” he explained.
According to the minister, Belarus rents a pavilion in the central part of the All-Union Exhibition. “We did a good repair, a compete makeover of the pavilion,” he said.
According to Vladimir Koltovich, the All-Union Exhibition of National Economic Achievements will open its season on 29 April. The Belarusian stand will be decorated to mark Victory Day (9 May).
Speaking about the prospects, the Trade Minister noted that in the first half of the year VDNKh plans to open a restaurant of the Belarusian cuisine.
“VDNKh positions itself as a cultural and irrigational center. Our goal is to present Belarus' interests with an emphasis on our country, business opportunities, our investment potential,” said Vladimir Koltovich.
