MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – The United Nations has started considering the draft of the Belarus-initiated anti-drug resolution, head of the main department for drugs control and counteraction to trafficking in persons of the Interior Ministry of Belarus Vasily Losich said at a press conference on 26 February, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus has submitted the draft resolution to the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs. The document is currently under consideration,” Vasily Losich said.
The draft resolution has been drawn up in cooperation with Russia and Tajikistan. “Belarus has unique experience in combating psychoactive substances. We have identified best practices and come up with proposals so that the entire international community could devise a unified algorithm for drug control,” Vasily Losich noted.
