MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) - The coaching staff of the Belarusian national biathlon team named the roster for the IBU World Championships mixed relay (2x6+2x7.5km) in Norway's Holmenkollen, BelTA has learned.
Partaking in the first event of the championships on 3 March will be Nadezhda Skardino, Irina Krivko, Vladimir Chepelin, Alexander Dorozhko. Germany announced its roster for the opening event comprising Franziska Preuss, Franziska Hildebrand, Arnd Peiffer and Simon Schempp. The French lineup is as follows: Anais Bescond, Marie Dorin Habert, Simon Desthieux and Martin Fourcade.
The organizers of the championships are most worried about weather conditions. According to weather forecasts, snowfalls and fog are expected in Holmenkollen.
With Darya Domracheva being absent on the team this season, all hopes of the Belarusian national team are on Nadezhda Skardino who showed her good form in Tyumen winning the pursuit event.
Team Belarus came to Norway in several groups. A part of biathletes arrived from Tyumen, the rest came from Ruhpolding following their training camp for the 2016 IBU World Championships.
The Belarusian team at the 2016 IBU World Championships will include Nadezhda Skardino, Darya Yurkevich, Irina Krivko, Anastasia Duborezova, Anna Sola, Kristina Ilchenko, Vladimir Chepelin, Alexander Dorozhko, Roman Yeletnov, Maxim Vorobei, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Yuri Lyadov.
