MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – The National Statistics Committee of Belarus will take part in a high-level conference “EU energy cooperation with the Eastern Neighborhood and Central Asia”, representatives of the Committee told BelTA.
The event will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 17 March. Belarus will represented by Deputy Chairwoman of the National Statistics Committee Olga Dovnar. The high-level conference has been organized by the European Commission with assistance of the INOGATE Technical Secretariat.
Participants of the forum will exchange views about the state of affairs in the energy industry of countries of the European Union, the Eastern Partnership Initiative, and Central Asia. Participants of the conference will also discuss possible actions meant to address matters of energy security, sustainable development, and investment encouragement.
During the session on shaping the policy using energy statistics Olga Dovnar is expected to deliver a report on energy-effectiveness indicators.
