Belarus to partake in international trade show Iran Agrofood

MINSK, 29 February (BelTA) – Belarus' national exposition will be presented at the international expo of food and agriculture Iran Agrofood to be held in Tehran from 30 May through 2 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the company Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Belarusian companies will showcase agricultural machines, including tractors and harvesters, equipment for cattle breeding, poultry farming and milk processing, grain, seeds, planting stock, greenhouse equipment, pesticides and fertilizers, watering systems, veterinary and laboratory equipment. Besides, among the products on display there will be food, dairy, meat and fish products, vegetables, canned goods, cereal products, pastry, health foods, non-alcoholic drinks, food processing equipment, food additives and ingredients.

Belarusian companies of all forms of ownership are invited to take part in the expo. Applications can be submitted to Belinterexpo till 21 March.

More than 30 countries have already confirmed their participation in Iran Agrofood 2016.

Iran Agrofood is the largest agricultural and food exhibition in Iran. In 2015 it featured more than 1,000 exhibitors from 22 countries, and had more than 30,000 visitors. The exhibition is held with the support of the Ministries of Agriculture, Commerce and Industry of Iran.

Belarus' major exports to Iran are trucks, acrylic fibers, tow, metal products, tires, newsprint, and bearings, and major imports are fruits and dried fruits, nuts, medical devices and medicines. Belarus and Iran actively cooperate in the field of investments. A number of Iranian companies are engaged in investment projects in Belarus (construction of hotels, business and residential complexes).
