Belarusian nuclear power plant
MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Belarus provides answers to all Lithuania's questions regarding the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP), Belarus' Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk said in an interview to the Lithuanian newspaper Lietuvos Rytas, BelTA has learned.
“I would like to cite a number of facts as for informing Lithuania's official bodies. Over the period since 2010 we have provided written answers to Lithuanian government bodies eight times. Over the period since 2012 we have officially invited Lithuania for consultations on the Belarusian nuclear power plant ten times,” noted Mikhail Mikhadyuk.
However, according to the deputy minister, the Lithuanian side “dismissed all our proposals with letters of its Ministry of Environment.” The last time it happened was in December 2015.
“It looks strange. Perhaps Lithuanian state bodies need to decide what they want: get information or run away from the dialogue,” said Mikhail Mikhadyuk.
