MARCH, 15 March (BelTA) - The development of the media space in the two countries will be discussed at the Third Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions, Belarus' Information Minister Lilia Ananich said during an online press conference to discuss the media space of Belarus in the new conditions hosted by BelTA's website.
According to Lilia Ananich, the third Forum of Regions will be held in Minsk on 8-9 June under the auspices of the Council of Republic of the National Assembly. This year it will focus on social prospects. The Information Ministry of Belarus will take part in the forum. “We are preparing a separate section to discuss the development of the media space in the context of Russia-Belarus integration,” the Minister noted.
A festival of regional TV companies of Belarus and Russia will be organized for the first time in the post-Soviet space, on initiative of Belarus. “We think it very important that regional delegations should include representatives of the media communities because the all-round cooperation between Belarus and Russia, of course, necessitates actualizing media coverage,” the Minister said. Minsk hopes that colleagues from Russian regions will bring goods TV projects on integration issues.
Lilia Ananich believes that Belarusian and Russian partners have a lot of common professional topics for discussion. “Any professional meetings give a new impetus and a start to new projects. We need to use all platforms to nurture integration,” she said.
