MINSK, 29 February (BelTA) – There are plans to make the mechanisms of mutual settlements between Belarus and Russia less dependent on exchange rate fluctuations, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Grigory Rapota said in an interview with the Kontury program on the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“We make mutual settlements within the framework of the Union State programs. The fluctuations in the exchange rates of the Russian ruble and the Belarusian ruble cause certain problems. The problem is being dealt with by the Finance Ministries. They offer to review some of the mechanisms of mutual settlements in order to make them less dependent on fluctuations,” Grigory Rapota said.
Belarus and Russia's financiers have an understanding how to deal with difficult situations, said Grigory Rapota.
