MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Thailand have signed an interparliamentary cooperation agreement during the official visit of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko to Thailand, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
Vladimir Andreichenko held negotiations with President of the National Legislative Asembly Pornpech Wichitcholchai. The speakers agreed that it is essential to hold regular meeting of the MPs of the two countries at the bilateral basis and in international organizations (the ASEAN Interparliamentary Assembly and the Interparliamentary Union) to enhance cooperation between the two countries which has not been active enough before.
Vladimir Andreichenko said that Belarus views Thailand as a promising partner in Southeast Asia and is eager to promote ties, first of all, in trade, manufacturing, agriculture, science, technology, education, and culture.
