MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – First Deputy Chairman of the State Defense Industries Committee Igor Bykov and Head of the Logistics Directorate of the Armed Forces of Thailand Navapoj Damrongpong signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military technology on 26 February, BelTA has learned.
“Today's visit is the beginning of our interaction in military technology,” Igor Bykov said.
He noted that the program of the visit of the Thailand delegation does not include visits to all enterprises of the defense sector. However, the Belarusian side invites Thai specialists to arrive in Belarus later to get familiar with the industry.
BelTA reported earlier that Vice Premier and Defense Minister of Thailand Prawit Wongsuwan said that Thailand is interested in the investment and military cooperation with Belarus as he met with President Alexander Lukashenko.
