MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Results of a comprehensive exercise, which was supposed to test the combat and mobilization readiness of the Belarusian army, were summed up by the Belarusian Defense Ministry on 3 March, BelTA has learned.
According to representatives of the Defense Ministry, a number of combat training exercises were carried out to test the effectiveness of combat systems and support systems in the same operational and tactical conditions. The exercises focused on evaluating the readiness and ability of the immediate response forces to handle combat missions. The exercises were arranged without any preceding warning.
The results of fulfilling the combat training missions have been analyzed to confirm that correct approaches are used to improve the autonomous capability, mobility, and equipment status of the Belarusian army. All the combat systems and support systems confirmed their capacity to act in considerably reduced ready times. The Belarusian army units demonstrated their readiness and ability to fully tackle their missions in an unknown territory and in difficult weather conditions.
A number of missions were carried out in association with the border service, territorial divisions of the Interior Ministry and the State Security Committee, municipal government agencies. The Belarusian army personnel demonstrated a high level of training. All the combat training tasks were fulfilled.
Problems were also raised as part of the summarizing process. Their discussion and analysis have allowed working out guidelines for further work for the sake of improving the combat readiness of the troops, ways to train and equip them.
The comprehensive exercise was ordered by Belarusian Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov.
