MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) - Young Belarusian conductors and soloists will be able to take study courses in the Vienna State Opera. The relevant agreement was reached during the talks between Director General of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Gridyushko and Director of the Vienna State Opera Dominique Meyer, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The meeting discussed the development of cooperation between the two theaters. Dominique Meyer accepted an invitation to visit Belarus in December 2016 as honorary member of the jury of International Christmas Contest of Opera Singers.
The parties agreed to consider a possible exchange of performances by the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater and the Vienna State Opera, which is expected to start in 2017.
Agreements were reached with the Bruckner Center in Linz, one of Europe's leading concert venues, on regular performances, starting from 2017, of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus at the annual summer festival of classical music on the banks of the Danube.
Vladimir Gridyushko was in Austria on a visit on 16-17 March. The visit was organized with the participation of the Belarusian Embassy in that country.
