– Belarusian specialists will build a new residential estate of 2,000 apartments in the State of Barinas in Venezuela. The information was released by First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko at the Belarusian-Venezuelan forum in Minsk on 27 November, BelTA has learned.
The residential estate will be built for Belarusian and Venezuelan specialists, who are employed at the industrial cluster in the State of Barinas. The cluster comprises factories that assemble MAZ vehicles, MTZ tractors, and Amkodor road construction machines. Apart from that, the Venezuelan side intends to build a major oil refinery in Barinas. A cogeneration plant will be built there to supply the industrial district with electricity and hot water. “It is likely we will be the ones building it,” specified the First Vice Premier while talking about prospects of the cogeneration plant construction. Other industrial enterprises will be built, too. Many Belarusian and Venezuelan specialists will be involved in the process.
At present Belarusian specialists are building a major residential estate of 10,000 apartments in the Venezuelan capital Caracas. The construction of the second residential estate of 4,580 apartments is nearly over in the city of Maracay. According to Vladimir Semashko, Belarusian-Venezuelan cooperation in housing construction has very good future. “It all started with the first residential estate of 2,420 apartments in Maracay. Today we have reached the scale of larger projects,” he concluded.
