MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – The next international defense and military technology expo MILEX 2017 will take place in Minsk on 20-22 May 2017, the press service of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The exhibits will be showcased in the sport and cultural complex Minsk Arena as well as the Minsk 1 airport inside the Belarusian capital city. Exhibitors are kindly requested to showcase brand new products, promising, high-tech samples of weapon systems, military and special hardware.
In line with executive order No. 429r that the Belarusian head of government signed on 10 October a committee has been set up to organize the expo. The committee is headed by Sergei Gurulev, Chairman of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus. The organizers intend the main areas of the expo to reflect modern trends on international arms markets as well as capabilities of the Belarusian defense industry. The expo is also expected to encourage enterprises run by the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus and the national defense industry as a whole to explore promising R&D areas.
