MOSCOW, 9 March (BelTA-TASS) – The documents on security, earlier coordinated by the trilateral contact group in Minsk, have been handed over to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission with the signatures of the heads of the self-proclaimed republics of Lugansk and Donetsk (LNR and DNR), LNR plenipotentiary envoy Vladislav Deinego said.
"Yesterday, the DNR leader (Alexander Zakharchenko) put his signature under the texts of two agreements made in five copies - one for each side. Three copies have been handed over to the OSCE representatives as those are meant for the OSCE, Russia and Ukraine. The other two have been left, respectively, in the DNR and LNR," Vladislav Deinego was cited as saying by the Lugansk Inform Center.
The trilateral contact group initialed two agreements at a regular meeting in Minsk on March 2. The agreements envision demining activities near the contact line in Donbass and the ban on firing drills in the 30-kilometer zone near the contact line. Later in the day, LNR Head Igor Plotnitsky put his signature under the documents and DNR leader Alexander Zakharchenko inked them on March 4.
