MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Germany have reached a new stage in bilateral relations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus Peter Dettmar told reporters before the meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko on 2 March, BelTA informs.
“I think that at present we have reached a new stage in bilateral relations,” the Ambassador said.
In his words, Belarus and Germany have accumulated a big potential in the economic and cultural cooperation in the recent years which can be a good foundation for the interaction in other fields.
Besides, in spite of the good trade turnover between the two countries, the diplomat believes that the sides still underuse the trade and economic cooperation potential. “I think that our economic cooperation will be developing in various formats, including within the framework of the Belarus-EU cooperation. Germany will make its contribution in this context,” Peter Dettmar said.
