Easier Belarusian visas for businessmen promised

MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared a draft presidential decree on liberalizing visa regulations for representatives of business circles, BelTA learned from Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei during the 17th Assembly of the Business Circles of Belarus on 2 March.

Vladimir Makei noted: “The liberalization of visa regulations is an important matter for us. Today representatives of the business community have already approached me with this matter. Certainly, the intensification of relations of small and medium businesses and their foreign partners could help further liberalize visa regulations. We've received a lot of requests for it and are working on it. Moreover, a draft presidential decree has been prepared. The document can offer opportunities for business contacts with foreign partners as much as possible.”

Vladimir Makei said that the document is now being discussed with the agencies concerned.

The Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week is scheduled to take place on 29 February — 4 March. Scheduled for 2 March, the 17th Assembly of the Business Circles of Belarus is the key event.
