MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – In 2016 culture should come to the fore in all sphere of life, Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said during a ceremony to present state awards to outstanding Belarusian workers, BelTA has learned.
“2016 has been declared the Year of Culture in Belarus. This is why I am particularly pleased to present the awards to our cultural workers. This year, we will be speaking about culture in a broad sense of the word. This includes the culture of everyday life and manufacturing, family and interpersonal relations. Culture will come to the fore in all spheres of our life,” Andrei Kobyakov stressed.
He noted that the ceremony featured a large group of representatives of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus. “I am sure that you will continue stunning the audience with exciting premieres,” the official said.
Andrei Kobyakov congratulated the attendees on the awards. “Your experience, professionalism and commitment have been recognized by our country,” the head of the Belarusian government said. He also wished all women a happy Women's Day.
All in all, Andrei Kobyakov presented state awards to some 90 outstanding Belarusians.
