Lukashenko, Putin approve package of documents

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) - Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko approved a package of documents following the session of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State. The package included 13 documents on the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in 2015 and the plans for this year.

The Presidents approved the Union State 2014 budget execution report, made a number of changes to the budget for 2015 and approved the budget for 2016.

Other documents were about the implementation of the program of concerted action in foreign policy of the states parties to the Union State Treaty in 2014-2015 and the program of concerted action in foreign policy of the states parties to the Union State Treaty for 2016-2017, and about the planning of the use of the regional forces of Belarus and Russia.

The heads of state also adopted decisions on the Secretary of the Union State, on the substantive matters regarding the meetings of the Supreme State Council in 2016, on progress in reaching the priority goals to ensure the development of the Union State in the medium term (2014-2017).

The leaders endorsed the decision regarding the Union State Literature and Art Awards in 2015-2016.
