MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Passenger traffic through Minsk National Airport rose by 31.9% in January-February 2016 as against the same period a year earlier to about 368,100 passengers, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Airport Minsk.
In February alone the passenger traffic at the country's main airport exceeded 174,700 passengers, up 35% from the same month last year.
In February 2016 the airport serviced over 3,100 flights, including more than 2,800 regular flights.
The National Airport Minsk is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport is home to the national air carrier Belavia and the cargo carriers Transaviaexport, Rubystar, and Genex. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
