Minsk named cheapest tourist destination for Russians on 8 March

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) - The Russian website Travel.ru named Minsk the cheapest travel destination for Russians on International Women's Day celebrated on 8 March, BelTA informs.

The top ten included Barcelona, Prague, Milan, Paris, Madrid, Warsaw, Helsinki, Minsk, Budapest and Berlin.

The cheapest of them is Minsk where tourists spend RUB2,500 per day on average. Then goes Vilnius (RUB2,600 per day). The most expensive cities to visit are London and Paris (over RUB10,000 per day).

The most popular resorts in March 2016 are Thailand's Phuket and Indonesia's Bali. The rating is compiled taking into account accommodation costs per independent travelers for the period of 5-8 March 2016.
