MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The most popular destinations for Belarusian tourists in 2015 were Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Montenegro, and Czechia, representatives of the National Statistics Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The countries accounted for 83.7% of the total number of Belarusian tourists, who left the country as organized groups in 2015.
As many as 533,800 Belarusians opted to travel abroad as organized groups in 2015. The CIS states accounted for 12.4% of the total number while non-CIS states attracted 87.6%.
According to the source, there were over 1,300 companies offering tourism services in Belarus as of late 2015. Over 800,000 organized tourists and 987,000 holiday-makers bought their services.
