New Face of Silk Road photo exhibition opens in Minsk

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – A photo exhibition entitled A New Face of the Silk Road opened in Minsk on 24 February, BelTA informs.

Alongside with the press conference organized by the Chinese embassy in Belarus, the photo exposition is one of the events making part of the program to celebrate China's Spring Festival in Minsk.

The exposition tells about the culture and landmarks of China, as well as about the country's economic and social development.

The Chinese Spring Festival celebrations were organized by the Culture Ministry of China, the Chinese diplomatic mission in Minsk, the Culture Ministry of Belarus under the auspices of the Cultural Department of Henan Province and Bel Huawei Technologies.

China's traditional Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) has a history of more than 4,000 years. This holiday still remains the most important period in the calendar of the Chinese people.

In 2016 the Chinese Spring Festival was celebrated in more than 100 countries.
