MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) - The Polish government delegation led by deputy prime minister will visit Belarus in the summer. Such an agreement was reached by the parties, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski told journalists, BelTA has learned.
Witold Waszczykowski invited his counterpart Vladimir Makei to visit Warsaw and expressed hope that their next meeting will take place in a few months in the Polish capital. Vladimir Makei noted that such regular contacts contribute to greater understanding between the countries.
The parties agreed to hold consultations on consular issues, and also at the level of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs. The border agencies are expected to hold a meeting soon.
“I will inform other ministries of the atmosphere that prevailed in our talks. I hope that I can persuade the economy ministry to arrange a meeting on economic issues as soon as possible,” Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski said.
