NABEREZHNYYE CHELNY, 16 March (BelTA) – The production of elevators of the Belarusian company OAO Mogilevliftmash can be started in Russia's Tatarstan. The possibility is mentioned by the memorandum of agreement signed on 16 March as a result of the meetings of Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, BelTA has learned.
The Mogilevliftmash lifts manufacturing project may use premises of the Russian company POZIS.
The document has also given instructions to consider the possibility of selling more Belarusian passenger vehicles (trams, trolleybuses, and buses) to Tatarstan, of organizing rapid tram service, restoring and repairing trams. The delivery of passenger traffic control solutions will be considered, too.
Apart from that, plans have been made to sell more agricultural machines made by the Belarusian company Gomselmash to Tatarstan, including via the republic's subsidy programs. Instructions have been given to continue cooperation in the sphere of shipments of forest-harvesting machines, road construction machines, and grain-drying complexes made by the Belarusian company Amkodor.
The protocol provides for working out proposals concerning the possibility of supplying Tatarstan's rapeseed and extraction cake to Belarus.
Suggestions have been voiced in favor of organizing Belarusian culture days in Tatarstan and Tatarstan culture days in Belarus. Cooperation in the area of tourism will be stepped up.
