MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Russia President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Minsk to participate in the Union State Supreme State Council session, BelTA has learned.
The session will be chaired by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. The agenda of the Supreme State Council session includes over 10 issues regarding the entire spectrum of the Union State activities. In particular, the sides are expected to approve the Union State budget for 2016, discuss the results of the budget implementation in 2015. The Supreme State Council session will focus on the results of the trade and economic cooperation taking into account the factors affecting the development of the area, the foreign policy cooperation in 2014-2015. The participants of the session will also approve of the cooperation program for 2016-2017.
