Rechitsa Textile ships trial consignment of Armani-branded terry robes to U.S

GOMEL, 7 December (BelTA) –Rechitsa Textile sent a trial consignment of terry robes to the United States, Viktor Kondratyev director general of the company told BelTA.

The trial consignment of 500 terry robes was made to the order of the American firm Armani. “For us it is an honor to work with such famous brand. On the one hand, this is recognition of our technical and professional level. On the other, this means good prospects for export growth,” Viktor Kondratyev

The Belarusian textile sells well in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, the Baltic countries. The company has started cooperation with partners from Mongolia. Soon the company will participate in Heimtextil 2012, one of the largest international textile exhibitions in Frankfurt. It is due to take place in January 2012. Rechitsa Textile plans to showcase its flax collection.

The company’s recent reconstruction has enhanced its competitive ability. According to Viktor Kondratyev, the company is set to install new painting equipment next year. The investment in the company during the last five years was 12 times as much as the funds put in during the previous five-year period.

Rechitsa Textile was founded in 1927 as a stocking-rope workshop Krasny Oktyabr. In 2003 it was reorganized into a joint stock company. The company produces towels, bed sheets, napkins and bathrobes, tableware and decorative sets, waffle and terry cloth, bed linen.
