MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – Russia invites Belarus to participate in the large-scale project to upgrade agricultural and farming equipment in Russia, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Alexander Morozov said when speaking at the breakout meeting “Development of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the manufacturing industry” at the 3rd Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus, BelTA has learned.
“Traditionally, Belarus is one of the main players in the market of agricultural and farming equipment. Together with the Belarusian Industry Ministry we will implement a pilot project to draw up the balance of agricultural and farming equipment supply by 2025,” Alexander Morozov said.
The task is very ambitious. Russian farmers say they need new tractors, grain and forage harvesters. We are compiling a detailed delivery schedule where each of the Russian regions informs about their needs in farm machines, Alexander Morozov informed.
“I think that this pilot project will be the first one, during which our agricultural engineering enterprises will draw up medium-and long-term programs regarding the output, investment, and new developments,” Alexander Morozov added.
