MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Belarusian coach Andrei Skabelka signed a two-year contract extension with KHL's Sibir, BelTA learnt from the official website of the Russian club.
“The contract has been extended for two years. Andrei Skabelka is a talented coach who knows how to work with the team under different conditions,” the website of the Russian club says.
The previous contract expired in 2016 and the club's leadership took the decision to continue cooperation with the Belarusian specialist.
Sibir has made it to the KHL knockout round for the fifth time. In 2015 the team under the tutelage of Andrei Skabelka reached the Eastern Conference final (lost 1-4 to Ak Bars to clinch bronze).
