MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – The trilateral contact group on Ukraine will reconvene for talks in Minsk on 23 March, Martin Sajdik, the OSCE chairperson-in-office's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine, told journalists on 11 March, BelTA has learned.
Martin Sajdik said that all the four working groups of the trilateral contact group have recently met in Minsk.
“The coordinator of the working group on security updated the participants on the situation in the conflict zone. The group discussed the results of work of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination, its achievements and the problems it faces,” the diplomat said.
The working group on humanitarian affairs paid special attention to the issues related to the release of prisoners of war. “The granting of access to detainees in certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts to the International Committee of the Red Cross would play an important role in this process,” Ambassador Martin Sajdik said.
The situation with Ukrainian citizen Nadezhda Savchenko was also discussed during the meeting.
